Job summary

CHONG & LEE CONSULTING ENGINEERS LLP in Singapore seeks a senior civil/structural engineer with 5+ years of C&S consultancy experience to lead small and medium projects, set requirements, and define engineering approaches.

You will attend meetings and site inspections, summarize notes, perform QA/QC checks on reports, and support project delivery under senior staff, liaising with clients and authorities as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years C&S consultancy experience.
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, NA and SS EN for RC and steel design.
• University degree recognized by PEB; PE or lead potential.
• Clear communication with clients and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Be a team lead for small/medium projects and establish client requirements and project methodology.
• Attend meetings, consultations and site inspections.
• Summarize meeting notes and liaise with drafting staff; QA/QC checks of reports and submissions to authorities.
• Lead supporting staff for specific tasks under Project Lead for more complex projects.
• Support the senior engineer, manager and project director for design, scheduling and project tasks.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years C&S consultancy experiences;
• Well versed in Eurocodes, NA and SS EN for RC and Steel Design, Detailing and Specifications and local regulations;
• University degree recognized by PEB. Potential and desire to become PE or project/technical leads;
• Confident to communicate clearly and liaise with the client, other Project Consultants, Government Agencies and Contractors;
• Eager to learn, be a team player and proactive for problem solving.
• Singaporean or PR Preferred;
• More senior candidates, including PE(Civil) will be considered for higher post and better remuneration.
