What the role is

We invite candidates with experience in the field of physical security to join us. Candidates should be familiar with various security operations and have some experience in operating security and access control systems.

What you will be working on

• Manage a team of outsourced auxiliary police officers and unarmed guards
• Perform security and access management at official events
• Exercise command and control over the security systems in the Operation Centre, including performing basic troubleshooting procedures
• Perform general security duties such as escort of visitors and contractors
• Perform Duty Security Officer duty to maintain security within MFA HQ – may need to work weekends and night shifts
• Perform on‑site incident management
• Conduct independent investigation works
• Perform frontline duty (at our static guard post/counter) to assist visitors
• Inspect the Ministry’s official fleet of vehicles and arrange for vendors to carry out regular maintenance regime on the said vehicles
• Provide driving support for official business, including dispatch duties

What we are looking for

• Singapore citizen
• Relevant experience in security enforcement and security systems
• Basic communication skills in English
• Computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office programmes
• PLRD certification
• Valid Class 3 Driving licence with at least 2 years driving experience and a good driving record
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance programmes
• At least two years of experience working as a security officer in a physical security agency or equivalent
• Candidates who have had previous work experience in a uniformed organisation such as MHA, SPF, ICA, Mindef etc can be exempted from the requirement of PLRD certification as well as the minimum of two years work experience as a security officer
• You will be working in a fast‑paced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time
