Job summary

Asteem Products Pte Ltd is seeking a motivated and technically minded Sales Engineer for an entry-level role in technical sales. You will work closely with customers, suppliers and manufacturing partners to understand requirements and provide practical solutions.

Fresh graduates are welcome, with training and overseas visits to partners. Responsibilities include handling enquiries, preparing quotations, visiting customers, and coordinating with internal teams to meet delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Good command of spoken and written English for quotations and day-to-day business communication.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings would be an advantage.
• Preferably possess a valid Class 3 driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and sales support to existing customers.
• Attend to customer enquiries and understand requirements.
• Prepare product costing and quotations based on requirements.
• Visit customers to develop and maintain relationships.
• Follow up on enquiries, quotations and opportunities promptly.
• Keep customers informed of project and delivery progress.
• Coordinate with manufacturing/production to meet requirements and schedules.
• Seek feedback and pursue opportunities for improvement and further business.

About the role

Asteem Products Pte Ltd is seeking a motivated and technically minded Sales Engineer to join our team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop a career in technical sales, working closely with customers, suppliers and our manufacturing partners to understand requirements and provide practical solutions. Fresh graduates and candidates with little or no sales experience are welcome , with training and opportunities to gain hands-on product and manufacturing knowledge, including overseas visits to our manufacturing partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide good customer service and sales support to existing customers.
• Attend to customer enquiries and understand their requirements.
• Prepare product costing and quotations based on customer requirements.
• Visit new and existing customers to develop and maintain good customer relationships.
• Follow up on enquiries, quotations and sales opportunities in a timely manner.
• Keep customers informed of project and delivery progress.
• Liaise and coordinate with the manufacturing/production team and other internal departments to ensure customer requirements and delivery schedules are met.
• Seek customer feedback and follow up on opportunities for improvement and further business.

About you

• Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Preferably possess a valid Class 3 driving licence.
• Working command of spoken and written English for preparing quotations, proposals and day-to-day business communication.
• Able to communicate with our Mandarin-speaking customers and vendors.
• Basic understanding of engineering concepts and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings would be an advantage.
• Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand customer requirements and work with the team to propose practical and suitable solutions.
• Positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and develop in a technical sales environment.
• A strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing towards common goals.
