Qualifications

• Nitec/Higher Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Valid Class 3 driving licence preferred.
• English communication for quotations and day-to-day business.
• Able to communicate with Mandarin-speaking customers and vendors.
• Basic understanding of engineering concepts and reading drawings.
• Good problem-solving and teamwork orientation.
• Willing to learn and develop in a technical sales environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide good customer service and sales support to existing customers.
• Attend to customer enquiries and understand their requirements.
• Prepare product costing and quotations based on customer requirements.
• Visit new and existing customers to develop and maintain good customer relationships.
• Follow up on enquiries, quotations and sales opportunities in a timely manner.
• Keep customers informed of project and delivery progress.
• Liaise and coordinate with the manufacturing/production team and other internal departments to ensure customer requirements and delivery schedules are met.
• Seek customer feedback and follow up on opportunities for improvement and further business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide good customer service and sales support to existing customers.
• Attend to customer enquiries and understand their requirements.
• Prepare product costing and quotations based on customer requirements.

• Follow up on enquiries, quotations and sales opportunities in a timely manner.

About you

• Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Preferably possess a valid Class 3 driving licence.
• Working command of spoken and written English for preparing quotations, proposals and day-to-day business communication.
• Able to communicate with our Mandarin-speaking customers and vendors.
• Basic understanding of engineering concepts and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings would be an advantage.
• Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand customer requirements and work with the team to propose practical and suitable solutions.
• Positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and develop in a technical sales environment.
• A strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing towards common goals.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
