Job summary

WECRUIT PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveying Manager to support commercial activities from pre-contract through post-contract stages, including cost control, procurement, contract administration, and project profitability.

You will lead the Quantity Surveying team, review take-offs and tender documentation, prepare cost estimates, monitor budgets, and ensure compliance with industry standards across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 7–8 years of relevant quantity surveying experience in the construction industry.
• Experience across pre-contract, contract administration, and post-contract stages.

Responsibilities

• Manage quantity surveying, cost planning, tendering, procurement, and contract administration.
• Review quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities, tender docs, specs, and contracts.
• Prepare and monitor cost estimates, budgets, cash flow, and project profitability.
• Evaluate tenders, support sub-contractor procurement and negotiations, and prepare award recommendations.
• Administer interim payments, variations, EOTs, contractual claims, and final accounts.
• Identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities; lead client and team discussions.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to Senior QS and QS staff; prepare cost reports.
• Ensure commercial activities comply with contracts, policies, and industry standards.

We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveying Manager to support the management of commercial and contractual activities for construction projects from pre-contract through post-contract stages. The role will support cost control, procurement, contract administration, project profitability, and the development of the Quantity Surveying team.

Responsibilities

• Manage quantity surveying, cost planning, tendering, procurement, and contract administration activities.
• Review quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BQ), tender documentation, specifications, and contract documents.
• Prepare and monitor cost estimates, budgets, cash flow, cost forecasts, and project profitability.
• Evaluate tenders, support subcontractor procurement and negotiations, and prepare award recommendations.
• Administer interim payments, variations, EOTs, contractual claims, and final accounts.
• Identify commercial risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering initiatives.
• Lead commercial discussions with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
• Provide technical guidance, review, and mentoring to Senior Quantity Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors.
• Prepare commercial and management reports on project cost and financial performance.
• Ensure commercial activities comply with contractual requirements, company policies, and relevant industry standards.
