Job summary

WECRUIT PTE. LTD. is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveying Manager to support commercial and contractual activities across pre-contract to post-contract stages.

You will focus on cost control, procurement, contract administration, and project profitability, while developing the Quantity Surveying team. Responsibilities include managing cost planning, tendering, reviewing take-offs and BQ, preparing cost forecasts, evaluating tenders, administering interim payments and final accounts, and

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field required.
• 7–8 years of relevant experience in construction.
• Experience with tendering, procurement and contract administration.
• Strong cost control and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage quantity surveying, cost planning, tendering, procurement, and contract administration.
• Review quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BQ), tender documentation, specifications, and contract documents.
• Prepare and monitor cost estimates, budgets, cash flow, cost forecasts, and project profitability.
• Evaluate tenders, support subcontractor procurement and negotiations, and prepare award recommendations.
• Administer interim payments, variations, EOTs, contractual claims, and final accounts.
• Identify commercial risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering initiatives.
• Lead commercial discussions with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
• Provide technical guidance, review, and mentoring to Senior Quantity Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors.
• Prepare commercial and management reports on project cost and financial performance.
• Ensure commercial activities comply with contractual requirements, company policies, and relevant industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7–8 years of relevant quantity surveying experience in the construction industry.
