Job summary

Hong Un Siong Engineering Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support QS, costing and project coordination on ongoing construction projects in Singapore. The role involves take-offs, claims, subcontractor claims, and working with the project team to keep costs aligned with budget.

You will assist in progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts, attend site meetings, and help ensure projects meet schedule, cost and contractual requirements. Based in Singapore.

• Experience in construction project coordination.

Job description

We are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team. The successful candidate will support both Quantity Surveying and Project Management/Coordination duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in quantity take-off, cost estimation, quotations and tender preparation.

• Prepare and review progress claims, variation orders (VO), subcontractor claims and final accounts.

• Monitor project costs, budgets and commercial matters.

• Assist with contract administration and project documentation.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.

• Support project planning, progress monitoring and day-to-day project management.

• Attend site/project meetings and follow up on outstanding project matters.

• Assist the Project Manager in ensuring projects are completed according to schedule, cost and contractual requirements.

• Perform other QS and project coordination duties as required.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or related discipline.

• Relevant experience in the Singapore construction industry is preferred.

• Good knowledge of quantity surveying, costing, claims and construction project coordination.

• Able to work independently and communicate effectively with project teams.

• Candidate must currently be based in Singapore.

• Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents (PR) will be given priority consideration.
