Job summary

Bacha Coffee, headquartered in Singapore, is seeking an experienced Public Relations professional to lead global PR strategy and ensure on-brand messaging across markets.

You will manage materials, coordinate with overseas partners, agencies and media, and work with Corporate Communications to protect and elevate the brand globally.

The role requires 5+ years in communications, a degree in journalism/PR, and fluency in English; knowledge of luxury retail and international markets is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in communications or public relations, preferably luxury retail.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or public relations preferred.
• Experience with international PR agencies and luxury brands is advantageous.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute global Public Relations strategy aligned with brand developments and announcements.
• Voice brand DNA and ensure on-brand external communications across markets.
• Guide overseas partners and vet press releases, campaigns, and media outreach.
• Write and proofread press releases, boilerplates, bios, fact sheets, and media kits.
• Elevate brand presence through media liaison, events, and overseas media trips.
• Coordinate PR materials across departments and with subsidiaries, franchises, and distributors.
• Manage issues/crises with PR teams and agencies in Singapore and abroad.
• Maintain archives of media clippings and update PR reporting standards.
• Monitor trends in luxury, retail, and F&B for management updates.
• Maintain and refresh media databases and outreach to stay current.

Job Summary

Responsible for planning and implementing Bacha Coffee’s global public relations strategies and activities while ensuring consistency in brand messaging across relevant markets. This role is responsible for the development and implementation of support materials and management of Public Relations agencies internationally, as well as coordinating strategically with the other departments and stakeholders within the company and the brand.

Primary Relationships

The position reports directly to the Public Relations Manager.

Within the organisation, this position has primary working relationships with the other members of the Corporate Communication Department, other HQ Departments and overseas partners.

Outside the organization, the position coordinates primarily with Public Relations agencies, business partners and the media.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute global Public Relations strategy that align with the brand developments, priorities and announcements.

• Familiarising with the brand DNA, heritage and offerings, while embodying the brand ethos. Support other departments, partners and stakeholders in ensuring that all external-facing communication is on-brand and Bacha Coffee’s desired image and positioning is consistently and accurately articulated.

• Support Public Relations Manager to guide overseas partners (both subsidiaries and franchises) for the management of their local media relations and vet their suggested press releases, Public Relations campaigns, etc. across all markets globally

• Write and proofread communication materials i.e., press releases, responses for media queries and interviews, boilerplates, management biographies, fact sheets, media kits, etc.

• Elevating brand presence and positioning the brand accurately in local and global media sphere through media related activities such as media liaison, gifting, events and hostings, overseas media trips, etc.

• Coordinating internally with other departments on all Public Relations matters including the creation of Public Relations materials and assets.

• Working with Bacha Coffee subsidiaries, franchises and distributors to ensure implementation of brand and editorial guidelines and directives.

• Effectively manage issues and crises in collaboration with Public Relations teams and Public Relations agencies in Singapore and overseas.

• Ensuring that proper archives of global media clippings are maintained and regularly updating Public Relations reporting standards.

• Regularly monitoring trends and informing management of developments in luxury, retail and F&B industries.

• Maintaining Bacha Coffee media databases and periodically revising and refreshing media outreach to constantly remain current.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in communications or public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in the luxury retail sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or public relations preferred.
• Past experience working in a Public Relations agency or managing international Public Relations agencies preferred.
• Past experience practising Public Relations for a luxury brand preferred.
• Past experience dealing with international markets/stakeholders and media being responsible for a global or regional scope.
• Applicants must be fluent in written and spoken English and have excellent writing and proofreading skills.
• A second or third language would be an advantage, as it would support effective communication with our diverse franchise partners.

• Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, pitching and hosting media.
• Computer literacy in word processing, data base management and page layout.
• Commitment to working in cross-functional teams.
• Very strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
• Out-of-town, overnight travel might be required from time to time (less than 10%)
