Job summary

Michael Page International Pte Ltd is seeking a design professional to lead tenancy design across a mixed retail portfolio. You will review tenant proposals for shopfronts, interiors and visual merchandising, ensuring alignment with brand standards and property guidelines.

The role involves presenting recommendations to landlords, coordinating with leasing and management teams, and conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related design discipline.
• Experience in tenancy design, interior design, architecture, retail fit-out or commercial property projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Strong design judgement balancing branding, commercial objectives and property guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Guide retail and F&B tenants through design submissions, fit-out requirements and approval processes across multiple shopping malls.
• Review shopfront, interior layout and visual merchandising proposals to ensure alignment with the positioning and design standards of each property.
• Provide constructive design input while enabling tenants to express their individual brand identities effectively.
• Present design proposals and recommendations to landlords and communicate approval decisions to relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct site inspections, design audits and pre-opening reviews to ensure completed works comply with approved plans.
• Develop tenancy layouts, precinct concepts, design visualisations and updated design guidelines for asset enhancement initiatives.
• Coordinate with leasing, marketing, property management, consultants and contractors on tenancy changes, improvement works and ad-hoc projects.

The Successful Applicant

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related design discipline.
• At least years of experience in tenancy design, interior design, architecture, retail fit-out or commercial property projects.
• Practical understanding of retail and F&B renovation processes, technical submissions and on-site fit-out matters.
• Strong design judgement with the ability to balance branding, commercial objectives and property guidelines.
• Confidence in presenting design recommendations and resolving design-related issues with tenants and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Organised, resourceful and able to manage multiple design submissions and project timelines independently.
