Job summary

Recruit Now Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a government construction project in Singapore. You will assist the Project Director in daily operations, monitor progress, safety, and quality, and coordinate cross‑functional teams including engineers, safety officers, and QS.

The role requires 8–10 years of construction experience, with 3–5 years in an Assistant PM role with a main contractor, and a Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, or Construction

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management.
• Government project experience: 8–10 years total construction experience.
• 3–5 years as Assistant Project Manager with a main contractor.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, site coordination, drawings, and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Director in managing daily project and site operations.
• Lead and coordinate a team comprising 2 Engineers, 1 Safety Officer, 1 Quantity Surveyor, and 1 Drafter.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Monitor project progress, schedules, manpower, materials, and site activities.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Prepare and update project schedules, progress reports, and documentation.
• Coordinate drawings, material submissions, inspections, and approvals.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and resolve site issues and delays.
• Liaise with the QS team on variations, procurement, and project costs.
• Support testing, handover, defect rectification, and project completion.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards.

Working Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm
