Job summary

TESCOM (SINGAPORE) SOFTWARE SYSTEMS TESTING PTE LTD. is seeking an Assistant Production Engineer to support production activities across multiple sites, coordinating with project managers to meet delivery milestones and ensuring high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a Diploma in Engineering, at least 3 years of assembly/production/testing experience, and strong communication skills. Defence-related background is preferred, with reading of mechanical and electrical drawings a must.

Responsibilities

• Promote health and safety compliance in vendor sites and in-house workshops.

Overview:

As an Assistant Production Engineer, you will be workingunder the purview of the department manager to ensure efficient operation and coordination of production activities at various sites. You will be part of a production team who are responsible for managing resources (mainly contractors), optimizing activities at the contractor workshop, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality productions related to projects. This role requires initiative, leadership skills, technical expertise, and a keen eye for detail to drive continuous improvement and meet project delivery milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Delivery and Execution:

• Workwith the production schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines anddelivery objectives.
• Coordinateand work with project managers to understand project requirements, milestones, and deliverables.

2. Quality Assurance (QA)

• Workwith a QA mindset to enforce quality standards and procedures to ensure thedelivery of high-quality production outcome.
• Implementcorrective actions and preventive measures to improve product quality and reliability.

3. Health and Safety Compliance

• Towork as a team to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards to maintain a safe working environment at vendor site and in-house workshop.

4. Communications and Collaboration

• Beable to foster open communication and collaboration within the production team and with other departments, such as engineering, procurement, and logistics.

5. Technical Abilities

• Integration,assembly and fabrication works on mechanical and electrical components.
• Supportand perform First Article Inspections (FAI), Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) onassembled products/systems.
• ConductEnvironmental Stress Screening (ESS) on assembled products and assemblies.

Job Requirements

• NiTec/ Diploma in Engineering.
• Trackrecord of at least 3 years in assembly, production and testing environment of unmannedand related sub-assemblies and systems.
• Defencerelated background preferred.
• Goodcommunication skills.
