Yum Cha Restaurant Pte Ltd is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager (Outlet Lead) to oversee daily Front-of-House operations at our Chinatown outlet in Singapore. This role is ideal for experienced Floor Managers or Duty Managers looking to step up into a leadership position.

You will lead FOH operations, manage staff, ensure service quality, handle escalated feedback, and support promotions and SOPs to drive consistent guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-5 years of FOH experience in F&B.
• Experience as Floor Manager, Duty Manager, or supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with customer service focus.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin for liaising with Mandarin-speaking customers and staff.

About the Role

Yum Cha is an established dim sum teahouse known for our award-winning dishes and strong customer base. We are seeking an Assistant Operations Manager (Outlet Lead) to oversee daily Front-of-House (FOH) operations and ensure smooth, consistent service at our outlet. This role is ideal for experienced Floor Managers or Duty Managers ready to step up into a leadership position. Job Title: Assistant Operations Manager (Outlet Lead) Location: Chinatown

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations

• Lead FOH operations and supervise captains and service crew
• Manage table flow, seating arrangements, and peak-hour service
• Ensure service quality, customer satisfaction, and timely dish delivery
• Handle escalated customer feedback and perform service recovery
• Conduct daily floor checks to ensure outlet readiness and hygiene standards

Manpower & Training

• Plan staff scheduling and manpower deployment
• Train new hires on service SOPs, customer service, and operational standards
• Provide performance feedback and support staff development

Inventory & Compliance

• Monitor FOH inventory and manage replenishments
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and operational SOPs
• Support stock-taking and cost-control initiatives

Outlet Leadership

• Act as outlet-in-charge in the absence of senior management
• Prepare daily operational reports and highlight issues to Operations Manager
• Support implementation of promotions, workflow improvements, and service initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum 4-5 years of FOH experience in F&B
• Prior experience as Floor Manager, Duty Manager, or supervisory role
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking customers, staff, and suppliers for work purposes
• Ability to manage fast-paced operations and resolve issues independently
• Good understanding of restaurant service standards and hygiene requirements
• Positive attitude, team player, and strong sense of responsibility

Working Hours

• 6 days per week (rotating shifts)
• Weekends and public holidays required
• No 12-hour shifts
