Job summary

MSIG Singapore is seeking a professional underwriter to assist in executing Regional and Global Programme strategies and drive profitable growth for the Regional/Global Programme business. You will collaborate with Underwriting, Reinsurance, and Claims teams to manage accounts and loss ratios, while underwriting and renewing business within your authority.

The role requires GI underwriting knowledge, a degree or equivalent qualifications, and strong communication and relationship management

Qualifications

• Underwriting knowledge and GI insurance fundamentals.
• Experience with general insurance sales and servicing.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing Regional and Global Programmes' strategies.
• Responsible for profitable growth and development of Regional/Global Program business to meet targets.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Reinsurance and Claims teams to manage accounts and loss ratios.
• Negotiate, underwrite, accept and renew business within personal risk acceptance authority.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, service standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor outstanding premium payable and implement credit control policy.
• Liaison with overseas offices/partners for Regional/Global programme related business and matters.
• Undertake any other duties as may be assigned.

Education

Degree / Diploma / GCE ‘A' level qualification &/or professional insurance qualifications

Certificate in General Insurance (BCP/PGI/ComGI) & HI

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in sales and/or servicing of general insurance accounts
