Job summary

A global leader in transport and logistics in Singapore is looking for an Assistant Manager - Payroll to oversee payroll operations and ensure compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma or Degree, a minimum of 5 years in payroll, strong MS Excel skills, and experience with a large workforce. This role also involves collaborating with a payroll vendor and managing benefits administration, along with generating reports for management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll operation in a manufacturing, logistics or equivalent environment.
  • Handled payroll portfolio with at least 300-500 headcount including blue-collar employees.
  • Strong knowledge of the local labor laws, especially the Employment Act and the CPF Act.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with payroll vendor to process monthly payroll.
  • Review work done by payroll including checking new hire data entry.
  • Ensure all processes fulfill audit and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare required monthly reports and upload to global P&O portal.
  • Handle monthly benefits administration related to medical enrollment.

Job description

A global leader in integrated transport and logistics services provider is currently expanding and looking for highly qualified candidate for the Assistant Manager- Payroll position based in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities

Work closely with payroll vendor to ensure our payroll vendor has processed the monthly payroll and prepared the reports timely and.

Reviewed the work done by payroll including checking new hire data entry, updates of in-service changes, final payment calculation and filing of the documentation, etc.

Ensure all the process fulfil the audit and compliance requirement in accordance with the SOP.

Prepare required monthly reports and upload to global P&O portal or share with related parties.

Handle monthly benefits administration such as medical enrollment, amendment and termination.

Work injury case handling : prepare AME for WICA case submission; liaise with employee via Business Partner on required claim document for claims submission and arrange payment / reimbursement to employee or related parties.

Support annual bonus and salary review exercise.

Compile statistics and generate reports for management information, as and when required.

Participate in compensation and benefits surveys.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in relevant studies

Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll operation in a manufacturing, logistics or equivalent environment

Handled payroll portfolio with at least 300-500 headcount including blue-collar employees / OT-payable employees

Strong knowledge of the local labour laws especially the Employment Act and the CPF Act

Strong MS Excel skills preferred Basic to intermediate-level knowledge (e.g. Vlookup, multi-level sorting)

Self-starter who is able to work independently with minimal supervision or guidance

Strong knowledge of attendance system module as well as shift setup is an added advantage
