Job summary

Sembcorp Specialised Construction in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Manager – M&E to oversee mechanical and electrical works across construction projects. You will support planning, design review, site supervision, and quality assurance to ensure safe, efficient M&E delivery.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years in construction, and strong leadership with excellent communication to liaise with consultants and architects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years in construction industry.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project scheduling tools.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to dynamic site conditions.
• Singaporean only due to sensitive job nature.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications and technical clarifications.
• Responsible for M&E works such as ACMV, Electrical, Plumbing and Sanitary etc.
• Coordinate with Engineers and Architects, and perform site supervision and co-ordination of M&E works.
• Review all M&E shop drawings from design team and submit to consultant.

Purpose and Scope

The Assistant Manager – M&E is responsible for managing and coordinating mechanical and electrical systems across construction projects within the built environment. This role supports project planning, design review, site supervision, and quality assurance to ensure M&E works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and technical standards. The Assistant Manager also liaises with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and drive timely project completion.
