Job summary

Sembcorp Specialised Construction is seeking a Coordinator – M&E to oversee installation, coordination and quality assurance of mechanical and electrical systems on-site for built environment projects in Singapore.

The role requires reviewing shop drawings, coordinating with engineers and contractors, and ensuring compliance with design specs, safety standards, and project timelines. Only Singaporeans can be considered for this project.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in construction with direct M&E coordination/site engineering experience.
• Singaporeans only due to project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, coordination and QA of M&E works on-site.
• Review project specifications and M&E shop drawings; ensure conformance with design and safety standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects and contractors to resolve issues and support timely delivery.

Purpose and Scope

• The Coordinator – M&E is responsible for overseeing the installation, coordination, and quality assurance of mechanical and electrical systems on-site within built environment projects. This role ensures that M&E works are executed according to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. The engineer collaborates with contractors, consultants, and other site personnel to resolve technical issues, conduct inspections, and support efficient project delivery

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Review project specifications and technical clarifications.


• Responsible for M&E Works such as ACMV, Electrical, Plumbing & Sanitary etc..


• Coordinate with Engineers and Architects, and perform site supervision and co-ordination of M&E Works.


• Review all M&E shop drawings from design team and submit to consultant.

Qualification, Skills and Experience

• Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent.


• Minimally 3 years in construction industry with direct experience as a M&E coordinator/site engineer.


• Due to the nature of the project, only Singaporeans can be considered for the job.
