Grand Hyatt Singapore is seeking an experienced Assistant Front Office Manager to lead daily front-of-house operations, ensuring guest satisfaction and a seamless service in a luxury setting.

You will greet guests, manage reservations, coordinate with kitchen and bar, supervise hosts, waitstaff and bartenders, mentor staff, handle complaints, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in the dining area.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an assistant manager in a similar leadership role in hospitality.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities; excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Proficient in reservation management systems and POS software.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the front-of-house, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
  • Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
  • Manage reservations and optimize seating arrangements to maximize guest satisfaction and restaurant capacity.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
  • Supervise and support front-of-house staff, including hosts/hostesses, waitstaff, and bartenders.
  • Train and mentor front-of-house staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
  • Monitor inventory levels of front-of-house supplies and coordinate with management for replenishment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with special events and private dining arrangements as needed.
  • Handle guest inquiries courteously and ensure problems are resolved satisfactorily, maintaining positive relationships.
