Job summary

DP World Singapore is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Finance function, overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and statutory compliance for Singapore and newly acquired entities.

The role requires leading a team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and coordinating with auditors and tax agents to meet regulatory requirements. A strong command of SFRS(I) and ERP systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
• ACCA/CA/CPA or equivalent is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Proven experience supervising junior accounting staff.
• Advanced hands-on experience with full sets of accounts, reporting, budgeting, audits and statutory requirements.
• Strong knowledge of SFRS(I) and internal controls.
• Experience with GST and corporate income tax compliance would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP implementations or enhancements.

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to support our Finance function in managing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and statutory compliance for DP World Singapore and its newly acquired companies.

Key Accountabilities

• Prepare and maintain full sets of accounts for DP World Singapore and any newly acquired companies, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with applicable Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS(I)) and Group accounting policies.
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing and reporting processes.
• Supervise, mentor and develop a team, ensuring accurate and timely execution of daily finance operations.
• Drive the annual budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes for the Singapore entities.
• Coordinate and support internal and external auditors to ensure a smooth and timely annual audit cycle.
• Coordinate with external tax agents to manage Singapore corporate income tax compliance, GST matters and other applicable statutory tax requirements.
• Lead the implementation of new finance processes, internal controls, and ERP/financial systems as required by regional or global management.
• Support the onboarding and integration of newly acquired entities, including alignment of accounting processes, reporting requirements, controls and finance systems.
• Enforce strict compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and standard operating procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CA Singapore, CPA, or equivalent is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Proven experience directly supervising or guiding junior accounting staff.
• Advanced hands-on experience managing full sets of accounts, financial reporting, corporate budgeting, audits and Singapore statutory requirements.
• Strong working knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS(I)), accounting principles and internal controls.
• Experience with Singapore GST and corporate income tax compliance would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in accounting and financial systems, with experience in ERP implementation or process enhancement.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills, with a meticulous eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with regional and global stakeholders.
