Job summary

SAFRA National Service Association is seeking a capable events professional to lead planning, management and execution of Community Defence events and outreach programmes. You will supervise the Projects team, coordinate roadshows, exhibitions and engagements, and ensure timely delivery aligned with club objectives.

You will monitor performance, manage budgets, engage partners and vendors, and support marketing across platforms.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, management and execution of Community Defence events, roadshows and outreach programmes.
  • Supervise the Projects team to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate CD events, exhibitions and outreach activities to boost awareness and resilience.
  • Develop engagement initiatives aligned with club objectives and member needs.
  • Monitor attendance, engagement metrics, and feedback; report findings.
  • Oversee budgeting, ensuring prudent resource use and compliance with policies.
  • Coordinate logistics: venue setup, registration, AV, materials, staffing.
  • Build relationships with members, partners, vendors and other stakeholders.
  • Support marketing content across social, website and EDMs.
  • Ensure events comply with club policies and safety requirements.

Job description

Lead the planning, management and execution of Community Defence (C2D) events, roadshows and outreach programmes as the primary portfolio, while overseeing the successful delivery of the Club's events, engagement initiatives and member programmes to achieve organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor the Projects team to ensure the successful planning, coordination and end-to-end execution of events, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and in accordance with organisational objectives.

  • Plan, coordinate and execute Community Defence (CD) events, roadshows, exhibitions and outreach programmes to promote Community Defence awareness and resilience.

  • Develop and implement strategic engagement initiatives that promote Community Defence awareness, strengthen community resilience, enhance member engagement, and support the Club's overall business and engagement goals.

  • Monitor, evaluate and report on programme performance by analysing attendance, engagement metrics, budget utilisation and participant feedback.

  • Manage project budgeting, ensuring prudent use of resources, compliance with organisational policies, and value-for-money outcomes.

  • Coordinate event logistics, including venue setup, registration, audio-visual requirements, event materials and manpower deployment.

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with members, community partners, vendors and other stakeholders.

  • Assist in the preparation and dissemination of marketing content across the Club's communication platforms, including social media, website, electronic direct mailers (EDMs) and digital displays.

  • Ensure all events comply with Club policies, financial procedures and workplace safety requirements.

  • Participate in the Duty Officer roster as scheduled, including weekends and Public Holidays when required.
