Job summary

Faststream Recruitment has partnered with a maritime organization in Singapore seeking an Assistant Line Manager to join their team. You will support daily operational and commercial management of feeder services, coordinating closely with masters, overseas agents and customers.

Responsibilities include space allocation, vessel scheduling, pricing, and reporting. A Bachelor's in Maritime Business or related discipline and at least 2 years in shipping are required; fresh graduates are encouraged

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Business, Business Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience within a shipping line or liner trade; fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operational and commercial management of assigned feeder services.
• Monitor vessel movements at sea and in port, maintaining close communication with masters and overseas agents.
• Manage space allocation, overbooking, cargo selection, and booking forecasts to maximize vessel utilization.
• Update and communicate vessel schedules to internal teams, agents, and customers.
• Monitor vessel speed and bunker consumption to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with charter requirements.
• Review bunker survey reports and investigate any discrepancies in fuel quantities.
• Coordinate daily correspondence relating to vessel schedules, space management, and freight pricing.
• Prepare weekly operational and performance reports.
• Where assigned, manage third-party services and contribute to improving profitability through effective space utilization and pricing.
