Job summary

PaxOcean Engineering Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks an HSE professional to ensure compliance with the Safety Management System and applicable regulatory requirements for yard operations.

The role serves as a liaison for operational and HSE system matters, promoting a safe, healthy work environment. The candidate will lead and develop a small team, conduct trainings, and drive continuous improvement in HSE performance, including investigations into incidents and trends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in the shipyard or marine industry.
• Ability to lead and supervise a small team effectively.
• Willingness and ability to work on shifts.
• Ability to plan, conduct and analyse data, including identifying trends and patterns.
• Strong investigation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis using established investigation techniques.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are also welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• To carry out implementation of HSE Policy and requirements as established within PaxOcean’s Safety Management System for the purpose of ensuring yard operations are in compliance to all requirements as established by relevant authorities.
• To carry out enforcement of local regulatory requirements from relevant authorities and international best practices from relevant standards on all operations being carried out within PaxOcean’s premises.
• To promote safety awareness & culture amongst the workforce through trainings and other HSE activities in order to achieve an accident-free and healthy work environment.
• To assist organization in achieving higher standard of HSE performance.
• To liaise with external parties and other governmental bodies pertaining HSE matters.

Uphold all in-house requirements and standards pertaining to HSE governance within yard’s operation.
