Job summary

JEN Singapore Tanglin is seeking an experienced HR professional to support and drive the full spectrum of HR functions in line with hotel operations. You will ensure compliance, staff engagement, and excellence in HR service delivery across the hotel.

Responsibilities include end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, work pass handling, payroll support, performance management, training coordination with L&D, audits readiness, and advising line managers on HR policies.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/degree in HRM or related field with 3–5 years HR experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore Employment Act, MOM regulations, work pass matters, payroll practices, and HR compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Support full spectrum of HR functions aligned to hotel operations.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, interview coordination, salary proposal, contracts, and confirmation tracking.
  • Oversee offboarding, including system updates, exit interviews, clearance, and final settlements.
  • Handle work pass applications, renewals, and cancellations with compliance.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS data with confidentiality.
  • Assist in audit readiness and document management.
  • Support performance appraisal cycle and L&D training coordination.
  • Advise line managers on HR policies and performance matters.
  • Lead HR projects and process improvements to drive excellence.
  • Monitor probation, contract expiry, and confirmation timelines.

Primary Role

To support and drive the full spectrum of HR functions in alignment with hotel operational needs, ensuring compliance, engagement, and excellence in HR service delivery.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, including job postings (e.g., CareersFuture, LinkedIn), interview coordination, selection, salary proposal, contract preparation, and confirmation tracking.

Oversee offboarding processes, including system updates, exit interviews, clearance, and final settlements.

Handle work pass applications, renewals, and cancellations, ensuring full compliance and no lapses in validity.

Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace culture.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in the HRIS system with strict confidentiality.

Facilitate and ensure internal and external audit readiness, leading audit-related documentation and follow-ups.

Support the annual performance appraisal cycle, including communications, system tracking, and data collation.

Collaborate with L&D to ensure completion of all mandatory trainings, particularly prior to onboarding.

Review and verify HR-related invoices and coordinate with Finance for timely processing.

Organize and support the execution of annual or ad-hoc staff events and recognition initiatives.

Handle disciplinary and grievance matters with fair process and proper documentation.

Provide guidance to line managers on HR policies, performance matters, and general HR advisory.

Lead or support HR projects and process improvements to drive operational excellence.

Monitor probation, contract expiry, and confirmation timelines, ensuring timely action and follow-up.

Review, update, and communicate HR policies and SOPs to ensure compliance and staff understanding.

Manage internal communication channels, including updates to the staff notice board, HR memos, and digital platforms to ensure timely and effective staff communication.

Liaise with external vendors, and government authorities (e.g., MOM) as required.

Support HR budgeting and manpower planning activities when required.

Perform any other HR-related duties or projects as to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Key Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in the hospitality, service, or fast-paced operational environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Singapore Employment Act, MOM regulations, work pass matters, payroll practices, and HR compliance requirements.
  • Hands‑on experience in key HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training coordination, payroll support, and HR administration.
  • Able to handle employee matters with confidentiality, maturity, fairness, and professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage employees across all levels.
  • Meticulous, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities within tight timelines.
  • Good problem‑solving skills and ability to provide practical HR support to operational departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with HRIS systems will be an advantage.
  • Positive work attitude, service‑oriented mindset, and willingness to support HR initiatives, employee engagement activities, and organisational projects.
  • Able to work independently while also being a strong team player.
  • Prior payroll experience is an added advantage.
Preferred Attributes
  • Prior experience in hotel or hospitality HR operations will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with work pass applications, MOM audits, payroll inputs, leave administration, and employee engagement is preferred.
  • Able to support management in driving HR governance, compliance, employee experience, and culture‑building initiatives.
  • Comfortable communicating with both operational teams and senior stakeholders.
