Job summary

Soon Heng Glass Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a maintenance and production planner to plan and prepare production work orders, manage purchase orders, and schedule machinery maintenance to keep operations running smoothly.

You will liaise with vendors, investigate quality issues, and manage inventory to support production needs. A 5-day work week is offered with medical and dental benefits, convenient access to Gul Circle MRT.

Qualifications

• Higher NITEC in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to read mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical drawings.
• Experience with maintenance and repairs using workshop tools.
• Proficient in English; MS Office to document work.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare production work orders to meet operational schedules.
• Prepare, issue, and follow up on purchase orders to suppliers to ensure timely procurement.
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime.
• Liaise with vendors to obtain quotations, troubleshoot, and repair machinery issues.
• Manage inventory levels of materials and machine parts to support production needs.
• Review product quality issues and determine appropriate disposition actions.
• Investigate quality escapes, produce defect reports, and recommend preventive measures to improve product quality.
