Job summary

AIM RECRUIT CONSULTANCY PTE. LIMITED is seeking an Assistant Engineer to support manufacturing operations at Woodlands. The role requires hands-on participation in production, quality control, and coordination with teams to ensure daily targets are met.

You will set up machinery, verify materials, maintain inventory and work orders, and escalate defects. Safety audits and incident investigations are expected, with a focus on root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years in manufacturing.
• Experience in conducting safety audits and investigating incidents.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sufficient manpower and verify receipt of quantities and materials; update inventory/work order details.
• Ensure production processes run under controlled and standardized conditions.
• Set up machinery/equipment per parameters and guidelines.
• Issue delivery orders (DO) for parts to subcontractors and review operator outputs.
• Make decisions on quality concerns; suspend production when issues arise.
• Report quality/production issues to supervisor and analyze defective products.
• Coordinate quality system audits and drive timely issue resolutions.
• Identify work risks and implement risk mitigation measures and practices.
• Investigate accidents to determine root causes and promote EHS through training.
