Job summary

Acromec Engineers Pte Ltd currently seeks a junior Mechanical Engineer to assist in project and tender activities within the construction sector.

You will prepare engineering calculations and drawings under senior supervision, coordinate with contractors, and participate in site inspections and quality controls to ensure project requirements are met. Strong command of English and MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year experience in mechanical engineering in construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; Revit is a plus.
• Strong written and spoken English; able to coordinate between trades.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in developing project plans, schedules, and documentation.

Project / Tender Support:

• Prepare and assist senior engineers in developing project plans, schedules, and documentation during project or tender phase, demonstrating understanding of project management methodologies.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors as needed.
• Support site inspections and quality control checks.

Technical Assistance:

• Understand client’s requirement and prepare engineering calculations and drawings under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Prepare and assist in the selection and specification of equipment and materials.
• Research and analyze technical data.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure project compliance.
• Prepare and implement method of statement and processes for quality assurance.
• Coordinate and carry out testing and commissioning activities to ensure systems are operational and meet performance requirements.
• Prepare operational and maintenance manuals and as-built drawing for project handover.

Learning and Development:

• Actively seek opportunities to learn and develop technical skills.
• Participate in training programs and workshops.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Requirements:

• 0 to 1 years of relevant experience as Mechanical Engineer in Construction industry
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Proficiency in AutoCad and MS Office
• Skill in AutoCad Revit is an advantage
• Proficient in both written and verbal English communication
• Organized, responsible, good team player and initiative with positive work attitude
• Willing to learn and coordinate between different trades
• Able to work under pressure, meet deadline and do overtime if necessary
