Job summary

GENNOVA ELECTRIC PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking an Electrical Control Engineer to design and implement control systems for industrial machinery. You will create wiring diagrams, select components, and work with PLCs and HMIs to bring systems online.

The role emphasizes fault diagnosis, system upgrades, documentation, and cross‑functional collaboration with mechanical and software teams to enhance reliability.

Qualifications

• Nitec in Electrical Technology (Power & Control) or equivalent.
• Singaporean/PR and able to work in Singapore.
• Willing to work OT on weekdays and weekends.
• 5-day work week, 8am–5pm.
• Good communication and written abilities.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Create electrical control system designs and wiring diagrams for industrial machinery.
• Set up, test, and commission new automated systems.
• Diagnose faults, perform I/O analysis, and upgrade systems.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Creating electrical control system designs, producing wiring diagrams, and selecting components for industrial machinery.
• Setting up, testing, and bringing new automated systems online.
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults, performing I/O analysis, and conducting system upgrades.
• Configuring and tuning servo/stepper motors and related control systems.
• Maintaining detailed technical documentation, including schematics and compliance files.
• Working with mechanical, software, and operations teams to improve system reliability.

Core Skills & Knowledge

• Strong grasp of circuits, schematics, and electrical safety codes.
• Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs, and industrial control principles.
• Ability to read blueprints, use test equipment, and perform logical analysis.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for complex electrical and automation issues.

Requirements

• Singaporean/PR
• 5days work week (Monday – Friday: 8am – 5pm)
• Possess initiative and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Able to commit to OT as and when required on weekdays & weekends
• Able to work independently as well as in a team
• Good in communication and written abilities
• Minimum Nitec in Electrical Technology (Power & Control) or equivalent
• Proficient in MS Office (e.g Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
