Job summary

MINDEF's Defence Executive Officer (DXO) scheme offers opportunities in corporate functions, and this role supports RSN logistics strategy. You will shape foundations and structures to achieve RSN mission outcomes.

You will develop and review strategic plans, optimize logistics structures, and align workplans with organisational goals while engaging Principals on engineering and logistics topics. Strong writing, people management, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Education in Strategic Analysis and Innovation, Management, Strategic Management Frameworks or a related field is preferred.
• At least 6 to 8 years of logistics-related managerial experience, preferably as Senior Manager in supply.
• Good knowledge of Logistics processes and Supply Chain.
• Staff writing skills.
• Strong interpersonal and personal management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review the organisational strategic planning focusing on Logistics
• Develop and review the organisational structures in the logistics ecosystem to optimise deployment of limited resources
• Develop and review the Logistics Workplan objectives in alignment to organisational strategies
• Orchestrate strategic developments for RSN logistician developments
• Facilitate discussions in complex strategies with Principals, often involving Engineering and Logistics
• Consolidate necessary information prior to discussions, ensuring RSN capabilities are well supported
• Articulate multi-faceted issues clearly and analyse new conceptual ideas quickly

What the role is:

You play a key role in developing the future for the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN), Naval Engineering & Logistics Organisation by designing the enabling foundations and structures needed to achieve the RSN mission outcomes.

What you will be working on:

• Develop and review the organisational strategic planning focusing on Logistics
• Develop and review the organisational structures in the logistics ecosystem to optimise deployment of limited resources
• Develop and review the Logistics Workplan objectives in alignment to organisational strategies, restructuring and capability development
• Orchestrate strategic developments for the RSN logistician developmentsChallenge(s)
• Facilitating discussions in complex strategies with Principals, which will often delve into Engineering and Logistics areas
• Being resourceful and quick-witted to consolidate necessary information prior to discussion, while ensuring that RSN's capabilities are well supported
• Articulating multi-faceted issues or considerations clearly and able to analyse new conceptual ideas quickly

What we are looking for:

• Education in Strategic Analysis and Innovation, Management, Strategic Management Frameworks or a related field is preferred
• At least 6 to 8 years of working experience in logistics-related managerial role, preferably with at least one appointment as Senior Manager in the supply community
• Good knowledge and understanding of Logistics processes and Supply Chain domain
• Possess good staff writing skills
