Job summary

CAPELLA HOTEL, SINGAPORE is seeking an Assistant Director of Sales to lead direct and marketing sales efforts for residences and hotel segments. You will drive proactive sales activity, develop strategic plans, and work with teams to exceed revenue targets.

The role requires extensive luxury hospitality experience, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with Opera Cloud and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Hospitality Management.
• Minimum 8 years in luxury residences, hotels or real estate sales.
• Strong selling skills and knowledge of sales processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct long stay residences' or hotel inspections for clients.
• Negotiate sales contracts to secure deals.
• Develop consultative selling and upselling strategies to maximise room sales.
• Prepare and present sales proposals and quotations.
• Conduct minimum 20 sales activities per week including calls, entertainment and site inspections.
• Collaborate with departments to meet guest and customer requirements in contracts.
• Handle escalated inquiries and requests promptly.
• Meet or exceed individual and department sales targets.
• Accurately forecast covers and revenues for each client.
• Analyze competitor landscape and demand to identify opportunities.

Position Overview

The Assistant Director of Sales is responsible for developing and fostering business through pro‑active direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, appointment calls and tours of the residences and hotel. The individual also develops strategic action plans for residences to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue.

The Role

Sales activities

• Conduct long stay residences' or hotel inspections for clients
• Conduct negotiation of sales contracts
• Develop consultative selling and upselling strategies to maximise room sales
• Prepare and present sales proposals and quotations
• Conduct minimum 20 sales activities per week including sales call, entertainment and site inspections
• Collaborate with relevant departments to meet guests' and/or customers' requirements in the sales contracts
• Handles and responds to escalated guest and/or customer enquiries and requests in a timely manner
• Meet or exceed individual and department sales target that is set by the management
• Accurately forecast the covers and revenues for each client
• Analyse competitor landscape and customer demand to identify sales opportunities
