About the role
This is an agency-based position supporting both operational and front-office functions within a dynamic stockbroking environment. The role is predominantly operations-focused (approximately 75%), with the remaining 25% providing exposure to front-office activities, including client engagement, trade execution and market analysis. This is an opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in the financial markets to develop practical experience across client servicing, account management, trade execution and equity-market research.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day client servicing matters, including payment follow-ups, contra loss reminders, settlement instructions and foreign exchange amendments
- Respond to client queries relating to accounts, trades and payments in a prompt, professional and courteous manner
- Build positive working relationships with clients and provide timely follow-up on outstanding matters
- Assist with the opening and maintenance of client trading accounts
- Facilitate the reactivation of dormant accounts and liaise with relevant client services teams
- Guide clients on the use of trading platforms, including iTrade, to ensure a smooth onboarding and trading experience
- Execute trades accurately and efficiently based on clients' instructions, with a strong emphasis on timeliness, accuracy and compliance
- Monitor trade instructions and follow through on relevant post-trade requirements
- Disseminate relevant market updates, news and insights to clients, preferably ahead of market open
- Assist in generating investment ideas through basic fundamental and technical analysis
About you
- Diploma or higher qualification, preferably in Finance, Economics, Accountancy or Banking
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- CMFAS certifications (M1, M5, M6 and M6A) are preferred
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- A keen interest in the equity markets; prior trading or investment experience will be an advantage
- Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents only
- Willingness to work under an agency agreement rather than a conventional employment contract
