The GMP Group in Singapore is seeking a hands-on engineer to design and develop First Article projects, including tooling, artwork, materials and processes. You will prepare technical drawings and coordinate fabrication with suppliers.

Job description:
Design and develop FA (First Article) projects, including tooling, artwork, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Prepare technical drawings and documentation for tooling and artwork fabrication.
Liaise with suppliers and vendors to coordinate the fabrication of tooling and artwork.
Coordinate FA production runs and prepare and submit FA reports.
Collaborate with engineers and production operators to design and fabricate test fixtures, jigs, and tools for evaluating product functionality and manufacturing processes.
Conduct regular equipment inspections, coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs, and maintain test fixtures, jigs, and tooling used in production.
Perform product failure analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including yield improvement, cycle-time reduction, cost reduction, and process optimization.
Execute engineering tasks and projects assigned by engineers and managers.
Perform other engineering and production-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Job requirement:
Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, with at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with knowledge of 3D modelling software such as Pro/ENGINEER.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot manufacturing and engineering issues effectively.
Self-motivated team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Willing to work overtime when required and participate in hands-on prototype development and fabrication.
