Job summary

LIGHTWAY HR CONSULTANCY PTE. LTD. is assisting a world-renowned global manufacturer of advanced CNC machine tool solutions and precision equipment to hire for their West of Singapore facility.

As a Mechanical Assembly Technician you will assemble and fit machine parts, align and level components, use torque wrenches, and perform quality checks with dial gauges and calipers. You will maintain a clean, safe work area and report issues daily.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, machine building, fitting, or equipment repair.
• NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to read simple mechanical drawings and follow work instructions.
• Experience using measuring tools such as dial gauges, micrometers and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fit machine parts, motors, and structures according to engineering drawings.
• Align and level machine parts to ensure smooth movement and proper fitting.
• Use torque wrenches and hand tools to tighten bolts and screws to exact settings.
• Use precision tools to measure parts and ensure tolerances.
• Fill daily quality check forms and report damaged or loose parts to supervisor.
• Keep the work area clean, organized and follow safety rules.

Job description

On behalf of our client, a world-renowned global manufacturer of advanced CNC machine tool solutions and precision equipment, we are currently inviting suitable candidates to apply for technical positions at their regional facility in the West of Singapore.

Job Scope

• Mechanical Assembly: Assemble and fit machine parts, motors, and structures according to engineering drawings.

• Alignment & Leveling: Adjust and align machine parts to ensure smooth movement, straightness, and correct fitting.

• Fastening & Torquing: Use torque wrenches and hand tools to tighten bolts and screws to exact settings.

• Quality Check: Use precision tools (dial gauges, calipers, micrometers, spirit levels) to measure and ensure parts meet standard tolerances.

• Inspection & Reporting: Fill in daily quality check forms and report any damaged or loose parts to the supervisor.

• Safety & Housekeeping: Keep the work area clean, organized, and follow factory safety rules.

Requirements

• Experience: Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, machine building, fitting, or equipment repair.

• Education: NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (Candidates without formal qualifications but with strong mechanical experience are welcome to apply)

• Skills:

  • Able to read simple mechanical drawings and work instructions.

  • Experience using measuring tools (dial gauge, micrometer, caliper).

  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
    

Location: Joo Koon (5 mins walk from Joo Koon MRT)（bus transport provided with several pick up points).

Work Hours: Full-Time (5-day work week / Office hours)

Salary & Perks: Basic Salary + Overtime Pay (OT) + Allowances + AWS / Variable Bonus
