Job summary

MediaTek Incorporated in Singapore is hiring a campus hire for CPU Design Implementation Engineer to work on ARM-based CPUs for smartphone products. The role covers the full IC design flow from RTL to GDSII, including synthesis, floorplanning, automated place & route, and physical verification.

The candidate will perform STA analyses on CPU designs and study on-chip process variation, aiming to optimize power, performance and area while embracing the latest semiconductor nodes (4nm and below).

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, or PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of CPU architecture and design.
• Interest in IC design flows and advanced technology nodes (4nm and below).

Responsibilities

• Implement ARM-based CPU on latest smartphone products.
• Complete IC Design VLSI flow from RTL to GDSII (Synthesis, Floorplanning, P&R, Physical Verification).
• Perform Static Timing Analysis (STA) on CPU designs and model on process variation.
