Job summary

MKPL Architects Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a designer with strong project management and contract administration experience. You will contribute to feasibility studies, design development, tender documentation, and contract administration while coordinating drawings, reports, and planning approvals.

The role requires BIM capability and proficiency with Revit, with site inspections and document control forming a key part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the office in architectural projects.
• Assist in feasibility studies, design, development, tender docs and contract admin.

• Prepare applications for planning/building approvals.
• Understand planning approvals, project sequences and schedules.
• Produce detailed working drawings and specifications.
• Review drawings per senior staff directions and guide juniors.
• Carry out site inspections and document progress.
• Ensure good project document control.
• Coordinate inspections and prepare docs for TOP/CSC.
• Uphold office standards and provide guidance to junior staff.
• Share lessons with office colleagues.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Assist and support the office in any kind of architectural projects;
• Assist in feasibility studies, design, design development, tender documentation and contract administration.
• Control and prepare architectural drawings, presentations and reports;
• Check, monitor and prepare applications, including drawings, forms & correspondences, for planning and building plan approval;
• Conversant with planning and building plan approval requirement and process, project development sequence and schedules;
• Conversant with and able to produce detailed workings drawings and specifications;
• Review or modify drawings according to the directions of the senior staff and able to direct junior similarly;
• Familiar with and able to carry out site inspection, site progress documentation, including resolving problems and issues that arise during construction;
• Ensure good project document control;
• Check, monitor and prepare for applications, including coordinating inspections, preparation of drawings, forms & correspondences for obtaining TOP & CSC;
• Uphold and raise office standards;
• Provide guidance to junior staff in their work;
• Share and give lessons (on a need-to-do basis) to office colleagues;

Requirements:

• Preferred work rights in Singapore;
• Experience as a Designer;
• Project Management experience;
• Contracts Administration experience;
• Experience preparing and submitting tenders;

• Experience with Revit software;
• Conversant and current with regulations and codes governing construction and architectural practice;
