Job summary

KAJIMA OVERSEAS ASIA (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. seeks an Architectural Coordinator to oversee architectural aspects of projects, ensuring alignment with design intent and regulatory requirements.

The role requires coordinating shop drawings, MEP and structural interfaces, plus coordinating tendering activities and client meetings. Proficiency in Navisworks, AutoCAD, Revit/BIM and SketchUp is essential.

Qualifications

• Recognized Degree/ Diploma in Architecture/ Project Management, Mechanical & Electrical or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination of shop drawings and as-built drawings with Architectural, Structural, MEP and Specialist subcontractors.
• Support end-to-end tendering process including preparation of tender docs and meetings.
• Create presentation slides for client management briefings to support decision-making.
• Review project specifications, shop drawings and clarifications.
• Monitor shop drawings and sample schedules with procurement timelines.
• Manage submission and approval of shop drawings and samples from Consultants.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, consultants, authorities and subcontractors during construction.
• Rectify technical and coordination issues within the project team and partners.
• Handle claim-related issues and maintain action-item tracking.

Job Role:

An Architectural Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the architectural aspects of a project, ensuring it aligns with design intent, construction plans, and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Involved and led in checking and coordination of shop drawings and as-built drawings with all respective trades (e.g., Architectural, Structural, MEP and Specialist Subcontractors' works).
• Support end-to-end tendering process, including preparation of tender documents, coordination of consultant and client meetings and issuance of meeting minutes.
• Create clear and concise presentation slides for client management briefings to support decision-making.
• Review project specifications, Shop drawings and technical clarifications.
• Able to prepare and monitor the progress of shop drawings and sample schedule with procurement schedule.
• Manage the submission and approval of Shop Drawings and Samples from Consultants.
• Manage the receipt and issuance of all Consultant drawings and Shop drawings.
• Liaise and coordinate with stakeholders, consultants, authorities, and subcontractors throughout the construction phase.
• Rectify any technical and coordination issues that surface within the Project team and any related working partners.
• Managed claim-related issues and maintained systematic tracking of action items.
• Any other duties assigned by the superior.

Job requirements:

• Recognized Degree/ Diploma in Architecture/ Project Management, Mechanical & Electrical or equivalent.
• Min. 5 years’ experience in the Construction or related industry preferred.
• Well-versed in Navisworks, Autocad, Revit/BIM software in Architectural/ Structural/ MEP.
• 3D modelling and visualisation - Sketchup.
• Able to coordinate & check Architectural, M&E and Structural workshop drawings.
• Conversant with architectural trades.
