Job summary

Google Inc. in Singapore seeks a Manager for the Forge Solutions Architect team. You will lead a multidisciplinary group that marries business strategy with engineering to co-create MVPs inside customer environments, maximizing business outcomes.

You will mentor across Data Analytics, Security, Software Engineering, and AI, enforce architectural standards, and partner with sales, product, and engineering to drive production-grade deployments from discovery through production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
• Experience in software engineering management or multidisciplinary technical solution teams in a cloud environment.
• Experience in building generative AI solutions, multi-agent workflows, and RAG systems.
• Experience in managing discovery, design, and implementation of production-grade cloud solutions.
• Experience in people management.

As the Manager of the Google Forge Solutions Architect team, you will lead a squad of technical experts who fuse business strategy with advanced engineering to bridge the gap between visionary ideas and functional reality. You are responsible for a multidisciplinary team that doesn’t just advise, but co-creates side-by-side with strategic customers co-designing, architecting, and building production-scale MVPs directly within customer environments to maximize business outcomes.

In this role, you will provide architectural mentorship to your team across a comprehensive tech stack—spanning Data Analytics, Security, Software Engineering, and Advanced AI—while enforcing the operational excellence needed to navigate deep discovery, data readiness, and defined routes to production. Your mission is to unblock your squad and empower them as they solve critical customer pain points, ensuring successful engagement execution from initial discovery through to robust production graduation.

• Partner with sales and technical leadership to scope high-value opportunities and deploy specialized cross-functional squads (Architects, Software Engineers, Data Engineers, AI Specialists) to key customer engagements.


• Lead recruitment for the engineering organization, evaluating candidates across software engineering, system design, AI, and data to build an exceptional technical team.


• Collaborate with internal Product and Engineering teams to unblock field deployments, translate customer insights into product roadmaps, and build internal tools that drive organizational efficiency.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.


• 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.


• Experience in software engineering management, forward-deployed engineering, or multidisciplinary technical solution teams in a cloud environment.


• Experience in building generative AI solutions, multi-agent workflows, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.


• Experience in managing discovery, design, and implementation of production-grade cloud solutions.


• Experience in people management.

Preferred qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or equivalent practical experience.


• Ability to design observable, secure multi-agent applications using advanced patterns (e.g., ReAct, self-reflection), state management, and tool-calling protocols.
  


• Track record of establishing a defined path to production by aligning, upskilling, and collaborating with cross-functional customer teams to successfully graduate prototypes into scalable, live environment deployments that deliver tangible business outcomes.
  


• Expert at diagnosing business problems and designing feasible, real-world solutions that align both executive stakeholders and technical teams.


• Integrate AI models into complex enterprise pipelines, ensuring data readiness, robust database foundations, sovereignty, and compliance.
