Job summary

Helius Technologies is seeking a software professional to design, develop, and maintain scalable application code in a Singapore-based role. You will translate requirements into reliable, high-performance software and ensure thorough documentation and testing.

The position involves collaborating with technical teams, managing releases, performing root cause analyses, and ensuring compliance with SDLC and deployment guidelines across production environments.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in application development, software engineering, or application support.
• Proficiency in programming languages, application development frameworks, and software development tools relevant to the platform.
• Knowledge of SDLC, change management procedures, risk controls, and production deployment guidelines.
• Strong documentation and testing practices, with good debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable application code.
• Translate business and technical requirements into reliable, high-performance software solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Ensure software packages and programs are properly documented, with adequate test coverage and adherence to coding standards and development best practices.
• Collaborate closely with internal technical teams, business users, and infrastructure support teams to investigate issues, conduct testing, and support application deployments.
• Manage release activities, including raising Change Requests (CRs), coordinating implementation schedules, and deploying application fixes, patches, and enhancements.
• Perform root cause analysis for application incidents, identify corrective actions, and communicate findings and resolution progress to management and relevant stakeholders.
• Work with Infrastructure Service Support teams to maintain effective client relationships and ensure timely resolution of application-related issues.
• Ensure all production changes comply with established SDLC methodologies, change management processes, risk controls, and operational guidelines.
• Provide application support and manage the deployment of releases, patches, fixes, and enhancements to the platform.

• Good understanding of software development methodologies, coding standards, unit testing, integration testing, and technical documentation.
• Experience in release management, change request processes, production deployments, and application maintenance.
• Knowledge of application troubleshooting, root cause analysis, performance tuning, and production support.
• Familiarity with SDLC, change management procedures, risk controls, and production deployment guidelines.
