Job summary

Helius Technologies in Singapore seeks an experienced Java Application Developer & Support Engineer to support the development, maintenance and production support of enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate will work across the Java stack, including Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, SQL and application servers, while handling production support, RCA, code fixes, monitoring and deployments. Junior to early-mid level engineers are welcome.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience across the Java stack, including Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with enterprise application servers.
• Experience with production support, RCA, monitoring and deployments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and support REST APIs and microservices.
• Support Java applications deployed on IBM WebSphere.
• Perform application maintenance, bug fixes and minor enhancements.
• Provide L2/L3 production application support.
• Troubleshoot incidents through logs, SQL queries and monitoring.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement fixes.
• Monitor batch jobs and data-transfer workflows.
• Support AWS EC2-hosted environments and production services.
• Use SQL/PostgreSQL for data extraction and validation.
• Support production releases and deployments using Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate with QA, infra, devs and stakeholders.
• Perform vulnerability checks and security remediation.

Application Developer & Support Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Java Application Developer & Support Engineer to support the development, maintenance and production support of enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience across the Java application stack , including Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, SQL and application servers , while also being comfortable handling production support, root cause analysis, code fixes, monitoring and deployments .

This role is suitable for a junior to early-mid level engineer who enjoys both software development and application support .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot .
• Develop and support REST APIs and microservices .
• Support Java applications deployed on enterprise application servers such as IBM WebSphere .
• Perform application maintenance, bug fixes and minor enhancements.
• Provide L2/L3 production application support .
• Troubleshoot incidents through logs, SQL queries, application monitoring and code-level analysis .
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
• Monitor Spring Batch jobs , scheduled processes and data-transfer workflows.
• Support AWS EC2-hosted application environments and production services.
• Use SQL / PostgreSQL for data extraction, transformation, troubleshooting and validation.
• Support production releases and deployments using Git and CI/CD workflows .
• Work closely with QA, infrastructure teams, developers and business stakeholders.
• Perform vulnerability checks and support security remediation activities.
• Support testing, deployment readiness and production validation.
• Maintain technical documentation and support records.
