Job summary

Success Human Resource Centre Pte Ltd. in Singapore is looking for an Application Support Engineer to assist in system maintenance and improve application performance. The role involves responding to incidents, providing resolutions, and preparing operating documents.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of application support experience, a relevant degree, and familiarity with Microsoft TSQL. Additional coding or scripting skills are advantageous. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 6:00pm.

• Quick learner with the ability to pick up new technology.
• Able to take after office hours standby duties of one week per month.

• Assist and respond to incidents, providing resolutions.
• Monitor and maintain application systems.
• Implement corrective actions for performance improvement.
• Prepare operating guidance and troubleshooting documents.
• Support system testing and User Acceptance Test.

Job description

• Assist and respond promptly to incident, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties.
• Day-to-day monitoring and maintenance of application systems
• Implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & availability of system.
• Perform application setup, deployment and maintenance
• Provide operating guidance, training and troubleshooting documents to internal and external parties.
• Maintenance of application documents
• Assist with generating of application reports
• Support system testing and evaluation activities including User Acceptance Test
• Writing scripts/programs for service monitoring and health check of all systems

Requirement

• Diploma / Degree in Electronics Engineering / Communication Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / IT
• At least 1 year application support experience with Microsoft TSQL experience
• Must be Singaporean
• Quick learner with the ability to pick up new technology from scratch
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to take after office hours standby duties of one week per month
• Experience in coding or scripting languages such as bash, windows batch, perl, python, etc.
