Job summary

Rehlko is seeking an IS Engineer to provide pre‑sales technical support for our power solution offerings, ensuring proposals meet local authority requirements and tender specifications.

You will assess project requirements from Sales and distributors for non‑standard systems, lead installation design discussions, and work closely with engineering, supply chain, and the sales team to prepare accurate quotations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Diploma with 4 years of relevant technical solution experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written).
• Ability to manage and prioritize work tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform project feasibility studies and propose alternative solutions.
• Work on tender specifications for projects.
• Attend project sites for surveys and assist in integration proposals.
• Lead discussions with inquirers on installation design changes (exhaust, fuel supply).
• Review requests for non-standard gensets to ensure information and viability.
• Respond promptly to technical pre-sales inquiries.
• Generate project cost estimates including non-standard products and M&E.
• Collaborate with engineering to study feasibility and propose solutions.
• Coordinate with Senior IS Engineer to generate quotes for sales.
• Work with Supply Chain and vendors in pre-sales development.
• Help achieve department and organizational sales targets.
• Provide pre-sales technical support to distributors.
• Maintain ISO system pertaining to IS.

Basic Functions

Responsible to provide technical support on the product offerings to the customers and ensure proposed solution meets the local authority requirements, and accordingly to tender specifications. Responsible in evaluating the project requirements that is received from Sales and distributors pertaining to the non‑standard systems sales via the RFQ (Request for Quotation). The engineer is expected to support and clarify with any pre‑sales enquiries and work closely with the relevant cross functional teams.

Specific Responsibilities

• Performs project feasibility studies, proposes alternative solutions, specifications deviation from inquiry documents
• Work on project tender specifications.
• Attend to project sites for survey and assist in integration proposal.
• Able to lead in discussions with inquirers on influencing specifications change especially on installation design considerations pertaining to exhaust and fuel supply system.
• Reviews requests for non‑standard gensets and/or equipment to ensure all the necessary information has been provided and the requirements are technically and commercially viable
• Respond in timely manner to technical pre‑sales inquires
• Generates project cost estimation (including non‑standard products, M&E works and solutions selling)
• Works with engineering team for project feasibility studies and propose appropriate or alternative solutions in accordance to customer requirements
• Works closely with the Senior IS Engineer to generate quotation for sales team accordingly to the requirements
• Works closely with Supply Chain and supporting vendors in the pre‑sales development of project and non‑standard systems to meet customers' needs
• Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for achieving organization sales target
• Provides pre‑sales technical support to distributors and dealers
• Maintains ISO system pertaining to IS

Qualifications / Requirements

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering; or
• Diploma holders with 4 years of relevant technical solution expertise in a comparable role experience
• Good interpersonal skills along with good oral and written communication skills
• Managing and prioritizing work
