Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd seeks a mechanical/electrical engineer to support major power generation and data centre projects across APAC. You will manage deliverables from award through installation, testing and commissioning, and review customer specs and technical requirements to define project scope.

You will collaborate with Sales, customers, factories and suppliers on technical requirements, develop system designs and perform calculations to support equipment selection.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant engineering experience in Power Generation, Shipping/Marine, Oil & Gas, Automation or related industries.
• Experience supporting engineering projects from design through installation and commissioning.
• Proficient in 2D/3D CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical and/or electrical engineering support for major power generation and data centre projects across APAC.
• Manage engineering deliverables from project award through installation, testing and commissioning.
• Review customer specifications, tender documents and technical requirements to define project scope and engineering solutions.
• Work closely with Sales, customers, factories and suppliers on technical requirements and scope of supply.
• Develop and review mechanical/electrical system designs, engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations and technical evaluations to support equipment selection and system design.
• Review drawings, schematics, P&IDs, datasheets and other technical documents for compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors on equipment specifications, proposals and technical deliverables.
• Support procurement activities including equipment scope definition, supplier coordination and purchase requisitions.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and engineering support throughout project execution.
• Support onsite installation, testing, commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) activities.
• Ensure engineering solutions comply with applicable standards, codes and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, technical issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Travel overseas for project and site activities when required.

• Experience supporting engineering projects from design/documentation through installation and commissioning.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering knowledge with the ability to understand multidisciplinary systems.
• Experience preparing and reviewing technical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, datasheets or engineering documentation.
• Experience performing engineering calculations and technical evaluations will be advantageous.
• Proficient in 2D/3D CAD software.
