Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Execution Engineer to support Power Generation projects from order execution through installation, testing, commissioning and customer acceptance. The role requires close collaboration with customers, suppliers and site teams, with travel across APAC for project execution and commissioning.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in diesel/gas genset environments, strong electrical power systems knowledge, and proficiency in AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Power Generation, Diesel/Gas Engine or Genset industry.
• Hands-on experience in engineering project execution, site installation, site supervision and commissioning of diesel gensets.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems and genset control systems.
• Experience with FAT / FWT activities and technical documentation.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Execution Engineer to support the delivery of Power Generation projects from order execution through installation, testing, commissioning and customer acceptance.

The role will work closely with customers, suppliers, project teams and site personnel to ensure engineering deliverables are completed accurately, on schedule and in accordance with project requirements.

This is a Singapore-based position with regional travel across APAC for project execution, site installation and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Execution

• Manage engineering activities throughout the project execution lifecycle.
• Prepare and submit engineering drawings, technical documentation and customer deliverables.
• Develop documentation and test scripts for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Factory Witness Testing (FWT).
• Ensure Balance of Plant (BOP) engineering scope meets contractual and customer requirements.
• Review supplier engineering deliverables and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with engineering teams, suppliers, customers and project stakeholders.
• Attend customer meetings and follow up on outstanding engineering actions.
• Support punch-list closure following FAT activities.
• Follow up with suppliers on technical drawings, datasheets and quotations.
• Provide engineering support during equipment installation and site activities.
• Document lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement.

Technical Documentation

• Prepare, review and manage engineering documentation throughout project execution.
• Review customer documentation requirements and prepare technical submissions.
• Update and amend engineering drawings using AutoCAD where required.

Site & Commissioning Support

• Support regional installation and commissioning activities across APAC.
• Participate in site supervision, troubleshooting and technical problem-solving.
• Provide engineering support during testing, commissioning and customer acceptance activities.

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Power Generation, Diesel/Gas Engine or Genset industry.
• Hands-on experience in engineering project execution, site installation, site supervision and commissioning of diesel gensets.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems and genset control systems.
• Experience with engineering calculations related to gensets and electrical power systems.
• Experience with FAT / FWT activities and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of switchgear and electrical power protection systems is advantageous.
• Experience with AutoCAD is advantageous.
• Strong customer-facing, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, analytical and able to work independently as well as within a team.
• Customer-focused with strong coordination and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively across APAC.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer from the power generation / genset industry, with hands-on experience in diesel generator systems, engineering project execution, site installation and commissioning.

Candidates with experience in genset controls, electrical power systems, FAT/FWT, switchgear, protection systems and AutoCAD will have an added advantage.
