Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical and/or electrical engineering activities for major power generation projects across APAC.
• Develop technical solutions for diesel genset enclosures from initiation through installation and testing.
• Coordinate with sales teams to translate customer requirements into engineering solutions.
• Review specifications and tender documents to identify and resolve technical gaps.
• Define equipment specifications, scope of supply and technical deliverables for project execution.

Engineer End-to-End Power Generation Solutions

Looking for an engineering role where you can work on large-scale power generation projects and take ownership from technical concept through to site delivery?

This opportunity involves supporting major Data Centre projects across the APAC region, working closely with customers, suppliers, project teams and site personnel to deliver integrated mechanical and electrical solutions for diesel genset systems and enclosures.

Engineers with backgrounds inmechanical, electrical or mechatronics engineeringand relevant experience inpower generation, shipping, automation, oil & gas or other related engineering environmentsare encouraged to apply.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead mechanical and/or electrical engineering activities for major power generation projects across APAC.

• Develop technical solutions for diesel genset enclosures, covering project initiation through installation, testing and integrated systems testing.

• Partner with sales teams to understand customer requirements and translate specifications into practical engineering solutions.

• Review customer specifications, tender documents and technical requirements, identifying and resolving technical gaps where necessary.

• Define equipment specifications, scope of supply and technical deliverables for project execution.

• Coordinate with factories, suppliers and contractors to align technical requirements, obtain quotations and ensure timely delivery.

• Develop electrical, automation and mechanical solutions for walk-in genset enclosure systems.

• Prepare and review engineering drawings, schematics, P&IDs, datasheets, layouts and other technical documentation.

• Carry out engineering calculations and technical assessments to validate designs, equipment selection and system performance.

• Ensure engineering solutions comply with relevant industry standards, codes and regulatory requirements.

• Evaluate and select suitable equipment and suppliers while considering system performance, quality and cost effectiveness.

• Review technical documentation throughout order execution and ensure alignment with customer requirements.

• Support procurement activities, including equipment scope finalisation, supplier coordination and purchase requisitions.

• Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution for electrical, automation and mechanical issues during project execution.

• Support installation, commissioning and site activities when required.

• Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues and keep project deliverables on track.

• Participate in design reviews, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Support supplier development and collaborate with procurement teams where required.

• Keep updated on developments in power generation technology, market trends and internal product solutions.

• Deliver technical presentations or training to relevant stakeholders when required.

• Travel overseas for business and project-related activities when required.

What We're Looking For

• Degree or diploma inMechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineeringor a related engineering discipline.

• Relevant engineering experience inpower generation, diesel gensets, shipping, automation, oil & gas, data centres or related industries.

• Strong hands-on knowledge in eitherelectrical or mechanical genset systems, with the ability to work across disciplines.

• Familiarity with areas such as automation, protection, cooling, fuel systems, ventilation or other genset-related systems is advantageous.

• Experience performing engineering calculations, technical evaluations and equipment sizing within your area of specialisation.

• Ability to develop, review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, system layouts and engineering documentation.

• Experience with2D/3D CAD software.

• Strong understanding of engineering standards, codes and regulatory requirements.

• Good project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and engineering deliverables.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across customers, suppliers, contractors and internal teams.

• Proactive, adaptable and solution-oriented approach to engineering challenges.

• Comfortable supporting site installation, testing and commissioning activities.

• Willingness to travel when required for project or site-related activities.
