Job summary

Dynamic Human Capital Pte Ltd is seeking an Application Engineer (Power Systems / Gensets) to lead technical proposals for customised generator solutions in collaboration with Sales, Engineering and Supply Chain.

The role requires a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or a Diploma with 4+ years in technical solutions/pre-sales) and hands-on experience in power generation, gensets, and M&E projects. Strong communication and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Diploma with relevant experience.
• Experience in power generation, gensets or M&E projects is advantageous.
• Familiarity with tender documentation and cost estimation.
• Ability to interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Well organized and able to prioritise multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate RFQs and tender specifications for non-standard generator systems.
• Review project requirements for information adequacy and viability.
• Conduct feasibility studies and propose alternatives or deviations.
• Ensure compliance with local authority requirements and tender specs.
• Carry out site surveys and support system integration proposals.
• Lead technical discussions with customers on installation design, exhaust and fuel supply.
• Prepare project cost estimates for non-standard products, M&E works and packages.
• Work with senior engineer to prepare quotations for sales.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and vendors on feasibility and costing.
• Respond promptly to pre-sales enquiries and provide technical support.

Application Engineer (Power Systems / Gensets)

About the role

You will be the technical lead behind customised genset proposals, working closely with Sales, Engineering and Supply Chain to turn customer requirements into compliant, competitive solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate RFQs and tender specifications from the sales team and distributors for non-standard generator systems

• Review project requirements to ensure all necessary information is provided and that solutions are technically and commercially viable

• Conduct project feasibility studies and propose alternative solutions or specification deviations where appropriate

• Ensure proposed solutions comply with local authority requirements and tender specifications

• Carry out site surveys and support system integration proposals

• Lead technical discussions with customers on installation design, particularly exhaust and fuel supply systems

• Prepare project cost estimates covering non-standard products, M&E works and solution packages

• Work with the senior engineer to prepare quotations for the sales team

• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and vendors on feasibility, plant capability and special component costing

• Respond promptly to pre-sales technical enquiries and provide technical support to distributors and dealers

About you

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Diploma with at least 4 years of relevant experience in a technical solutions or pre-sales role

• Experience in power generation, gensets, critical power or M&E projects is an advantage

• Familiarity with tender documentation, cost estimation and local authority requirements preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging customers and internal stakeholders

• Well organised and able to manage and prioritise multiple projects
