Job summary

SEMICONDUCTORS TECHNOLOGIES & INSTRUMENTS PTE LTD is seeking an Associate Application Engineer based in Singapore. You will work in a multidisciplinary team to perform system performance tests, hardware and software evaluations, and ensure customer requirements readiness.

You will support service engineers, dive into hands-on software testing, and help define performance specs for cutting-edge handler solutions. Travel to work with customers and cross teams will be required.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in engineering; 1–3 years' experience preferred.
• Fresh graduates will be considered for Associate Application Engineer.
• Solid understanding of semiconductor machine equipment.
• Hands-on experience in semiconductor device manufacturing and quality control.
• Troubleshooting PC hardware and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with programming languages is a plus (C++, C#, Python; Excel macros).
• Familiarity with optical inspection equipment is beneficial.
• Strong English communication skills, written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel internationally to work with customers.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to tech expert—support customer service engineers and clients with technical help.
• Engage in hands-on software testing and troubleshooting for reliable systems.
• Define and fine-tune system performance specs for handler solutions.
• Own customer-specific projects from planning to documentation.
• Create and share technical guides and training materials.
• Contribute feedback to shape future product evolution.
