Job summary

Emerson's Test & Measurement division in Singapore seeks an Applications and Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and support advanced semiconductor test solutions for diverse customers. You will collaborate with customers, sales teams, and engineering colleagues to deliver reliable, scalable test systems and drive project success.

This role combines systems engineering, customer engagement, hardware integration, and project execution to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Computer/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Experience developing, integrating, supporting, or designing semiconductor test systems or automated test equipment.
• Knowledge of semiconductor testing/validation (RFIC, mixed-signal, On-wafer testing, ADC/DAC, MEMS, PMIC).
• Experience with test platform software (SmarTest, IG-XL).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, Visual Basic, Python.
• Knowledge of electronic test instruments (SMU, DPI, digitizers).
• Understanding of measurement accuracy, test architecture, hardware/software integration, grounding/shielding, PCB design tools, and statistics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers, internal teams, and external partners to define, develop, and deploy semiconductor test solutions.
• Gather and document customer requirements and develop project scopes/SOWs.
• Plan, coordinate, and lead project activities to meet quality and performance targets.
• Install, configure, validate, and support test systems at customer sites including acceptance testing.
• Evaluate, integrate, and validate hardware solutions and interconnects.
• Support design and integration of modular test hardware into turnkey systems.
• Assess system performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness to optimize outcomes.
• Familiar with lab measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, etc.).
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support engagements.

Education

Degree, diploma, technical qualification, or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
