Job summary

ST Recruitment Centresingtact.com is seeking a Technical Leader for the semiconductor wafer processing lab in Singapore. You will develop expertise in products, oversee lab operations, and drive process development and QA to support regional customers.

The role requires a Master’s/PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 4–6 years in wafer processing, and travel 1–2 times monthly across Southeast Asia, plus occasional trips to France and the US.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• 4–6 years of experience in semiconductor wafer processing.
• Willing to travel regionally 1–2 times per month (SE Asia) and 1–2 times per year to France/US.

Responsibilities

• Build deep expertise in the company’s semiconductor products and applications.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and market positioning.
• Partner with Sales to define target customers and application strategies.
• Engage customers to understand their processes, equipment, and performance needs.
• Lead product qualification activities and provide post-installation troubleshooting.
• Recommend optimal solutions based on application knowledge and lab validation.
• Establish and lead the Wafer Processing and Failure Analysis lab.
• Define lab capabilities and drive upgrades to support customers.
• Oversee product testing, data generation, and performance validation (local and remote).
• Lead development and optimization of semiconductor plating and processing chemistry.
• Define product specifications and support localization of manufacturing.
• Set operating procedures, quality targets, and product release standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
• Build strategic collaborations with suppliers, universities, and research institutes.
• Hire, train, and lead lab technician(s) and support staff.
• Support recruitment and training of operators for local manufacturing.

• 4- 6 Years of experience in Semiconductor Wafer Processing industries (Strip, Etch, and Clean or electroplating solutions).
• Willing to travel to regionally 1-2 times per month (Southeast Asia - Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand), and 1 – 2 times per year to France and US.
