Job summary

SMBC Group in Singapore is seeking an experienced Strategy Analyst to support strategic planning, business management and performance monitoring across Transaction Banking in APAC. You will develop initiatives to drive growth, efficiency and alignment with priorities.

The role involves market, business and competitor analysis, building and maintaining dashboards with Power BI, and preparing management presentations for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in strategic planning, business analytics, or related banking functions.
• Strong understanding of Transaction Banking, Trade Finance, and Corporate Banking.
• Experience with dashboard development and management reporting (Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Support strategic planning, business management, and performance monitoring across APAC Transaction Banking.
• Develop and drive strategic initiatives to support growth, efficiency, and priorities.
• Conduct business, market, and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
• Monitor performance, portfolio trends, revenues, costs, and KPIs; provide insights for decisions.
• Prepare management presentations and materials for senior management discussions.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI and other platforms.
• Collaborate with finance, risk, technology, and product teams to achieve objectives.
• Coordinate with regional stakeholders across APAC for governance and execution.
