Job summary

AppleCare Technologies in APAC seeks a Quality Engineering Manager to lead Quality Engineers across Singapore and APAC. You will own quality strategy, drive automation, and partner with engineering, product, and IS&T to ensure release readiness.

You’ll guide a growing QE team, translate quality signals into actionable insights for leadership, and manage priorities, scope, and vendor collaborations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Quality Engineering/QA with 2+ years in people management.
• Experience coordinating geographically distributed teams across time zones.
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and efficiency practices.
• Experience managing vendor/contractor testing resources.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and operational plans in fast-paced environments.
• Experience partnering with global teams to organize testing and drive initiatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Quality Engineers.
• Own quality strategy, test coverage, and release readiness.
• Champion automation across teams and standardize practices.
• Surface risks and status to leadership with clarity and urgency.
• Translate quality data into actionable insights for readiness and investment.
• Advocate for the team by managing scope, timelines, and resourcing.
• Navigate ambiguity and make decisions with incomplete information.
• Partner with IS&T, Engineering, and PM to embed quality early.
• Plan resources and structure — balance headcount and workload.
• Manage prioritization and vendor capacity, including retention decisions.
