Job summary

Alkira, a Lumen Connect Solution, seeks a Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales (APAC) based in Singapore. You will lead the technical aspects of deals, from initial conversations to POCs and closing, alongside an experienced Sales Engineering team.

You’ll partner with Account Managers, influence product roadmap, and grow within a role that offers senior SE mentorship and regional exposure. Travel approximately 25% across the APAC region.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a customer-facing pre‑sales engineering role.
• Strong networking fundamentals required.
• Deep routing protocol expertise (BGP, OSPF).
• Experience with SD-WAN and network virtualization.
• Hands-on IPsec VPNs and encryption knowledge.
• Understanding of cloud networking and hybrid/multi-cloud.
• Experience designing and deploying large-scale enterprise networks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to customers.

Responsibilities

• Present and demo Alkira platform to technical decision makers.
• Articulate Alkira value proposition to market and competitors.
• Partner with Account Managers to understand customer requirements and respond to RFP/RFIs
• Scope, run and win Proof of Concepts end to end with senior SE support
• Assist customers with design and deployment based on best practices
• Provide feedback on upcoming features from the customer's lens to Product Management
• Track and drive customer feature requests to implementation
• Contribute to the wider SE team by sharing best practices
