Job summary

Gates Corporation is seeking an experienced Manager PT Product Development for APAC to drive belt product development and qualification from concept to volume production. You will lead cross-functional programs, set technical priorities, and coordinate regions for profitability and growth.

The role requires a strong background in product development strategy, program management and regional leadership, with a focus on meeting customer needs and budgeted returns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical or materials engineering.
• 5+ years of progressive experience with leadership.
• Ability to lead technically focused programs.
• Detail oriented with clear communication of status and progress.
• Experience in budgeting and initial cost accounting for new product introductions.
• Ability to build supplier networks to support new product implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and qualification of new power transmission belt products and systems from concept through volume production.
• Define product specifications and technical requirements based on customer, application and market needs.
• Drive product, process and materials development to meet performance, quality, cost and timing objectives.
• Establish testing, validation and qualification plans for new products and applications.
• Lead cross-functional technical teams and regional leadership across APAC.
• Provide regular updates to regional and global stakeholders on program status, risks and outcomes.
